Tuesday, May 23, 2006 I dream of a Church....... I recently asked the church that meets in our house to finish this statement. As a matter of fact we will be discussing our answers this week. I encourage you to post your answer on the comments section as well. Here is my attempt to finish this statement.
I DREAM OF A CHURCH......
...where I have true friendships ...where I am really known (faults and all) and I am still accepted and loved in spite of that ...where I truly trust those in the fellowship w/ my life and heart...and they trust me ...where I am built up in my strengths and allowed to use them to build others up ...where I am lovingly confronted in my weaknesses and gently restored by my "church" family into a right relationship with God and the body ...where Christ is truly the ONLY leader of the Church and all others are true followers and worshipers of Him ...where there is unity and our differences compliment each other so together we can know God ...where hurting, confused and lost ones can come to get restoration of their soul without fear ...where I grow in the knowledge and grace of God through the apostle's teaching, fellowship, prayer and breaking of bread ...I dream of this Church in my Neighborhood.....in my home....
I am a Christian man in his 50's. I am a bivocational pastor which means I work a real job in addition to helping out at a church. One of my passions is to see God's people living out a living relationship with Christ.
